Important Announcement: 2025 Algerian Consulate Visit for Passport Renewals in Western Canada 🇩🇿

The Algerian Embassy and the Algerian Consular Services Section in Ottawa are organizing a potential consular delegation visit to Western Canada to facilitate passport renewals (photos and fingerprints). Please read the details carefully:

Key Information

1. Timing of the Visit

• The consular delegation may tentatively visit between February and April 2025, depending on the number of applicants (aged 12 and older) requiring passport renewals.

2. Eligibility for Renewal

• If your passport has expired or will expire on or before July 30, 2025, we encourage you to:
• Complete your application form.
• Submit all required documents (photocopies are permitted).

3. Application Deadline

• Applications must be sent to the Algerian Consular Services Section in Ottawa no later than January 10, 2025.
• Important: Applications cannot be submitted in person when the consular delegation arrives. The delegation’s visit will focus exclusively on taking photos and fingerprints as the final step of the passport renewal process.

Mailing Applications

Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, we strongly recommend using alternate courier services (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL) to ensure your application is delivered on time.
